Here you can find out about me and download my Quake 1 levels, WinAmp skins, and other miscellaneous files offered throughout the web site.

Self-Portrait

About me: I'm 33 years old and from Othello, Washington. When I was about 12 years old I began working with an Apple IIE and playing around in BASIC. I later received an Apple IIGS, spent one week learning 65C816 assembly language, and made a few programs, games, and demos for the GS; some of which can still be found on the net (that surprised me)! I did everything for those programs, including sampling instruments & sounds, writing the music (Soundsmith), drawing the graphics (Platinum Paint), and (of course) writing the code (including rudimentary operating systems- screw the tools!). Now I just play around with PC's doing mostly graphics, HTML, and anything else that interests me. I earn my money by administering Windows NT domains in sizes from as small as 600 to as large as 2000+ users. Yes, I do troubleshooting for software and hardware on individual workstations as well. The latest thing I've taken to is writing complex Kix scripts and batch files for logon functions and as a solution to all sorts of strange problems I encounter. Some examples are: pushing mandatory security, file, and configuration information, gathering workstation stats into an easy to read and consolidated format, generating random passwords and setting user account information for shared user accounts, gathering and sorting user home directory (including subdirectories) sizes, and so on. Kix is much more than a logon script processor! One thing I'd like to do is get into writing music and assembly coding PCs but, now that I actually have to work for a living, I can't spend days on end experimenting and learning like I used to! As of late I've also been spending lots of time (and money) on photography. I've lived all over the US; in Okinawa, Japan; Panama City, Panama; Terceira in the Portuguese Azores; Germany; and currently live in Virginia. I speak Spanish and English but would love to learn Russian someday (for the stupid reason that it sounds cool). I also speak um bocadinho of Portuguese. It's incredibly similar to Spanish!

Winamp 2.x Skins:
Chrome WinAmp skin RG_Chrome.wsz (102K) is my first WinAmp skin. It has the same look for the EQ, Playlist, MiniBrowser, and AVS.
Cool WinAmp skin RG_Cool.wsz(44K) is my second WinAmp skin. It also has the EQ, Playlist, MiniBrowser, and AVS skinned.
Links to other files on this site:
H3Items.zip: (278K) My HTML, graphical, printable guide to all artifacts, grails, and grail structures in the game Heroes of Might & Magic III.
L3codec.zip: (178K) The Fraunhofer MPEG Layer-3 Codec. The codec in this file allows you to save/load .WAV files in MP3 format.
CameraCustomFunctions.xls: (22K) Excel 2000 spreadsheet I created with ISO film speeds, shutter speeds, and apertures along with descriptions of all custom functions present on the Canon EOS Elan II/IIE(50/50E), Canon EOS Elan 7/7E(33/30), and Canon EOS 3 cameras. I print these out, laminate them, and carry them with me so I don't have to carry the larger manuals. Information on each camera is on a separate worksheet and is small enough to fit into a pocket.
ExploreFromMyComputer.reg(1K): This registry patch changes the behavior of the My Computer icon. After merging this patch, double clicking on My Computer will open a regular Windows Explorer window to the C:\ drive.
WinNTNoUserAtLogon.reg(1K): This registry patch disables the display of the last user to log onto the machine. Nice to prevent accidental account lockouts or for increased security. For NT/2000 only!
WindowsColorSchemes.reg(14K): This is a registry patch that will give you my three most used custom color schemes: Bold Blue, Bold Red, and Bold Green. If you're sick of the look of your windows give these a try. These work on NT/2000 but not on XP.
WinNTCommandLineBlackWhite.reg(1K): This registry patch will make your default command interpreter (CMD.EXE) window open up with black text on a white background. I do this because I think it makes the interface more uniform since by default windows have black text on a white background but the command interpreter has white text on a black background. NT/2000 only!
WinNTHTMLNotepadEdit.reg(1K): This registry patch adds an entry to the context menu for HTML files called "Edit with Notepad" that opens the selected file in NOTEPAD.EXE for editing when chosen.
PST19UPG.zip(100K): This zip file contains a utility that will remove an Exchange/Outlook Personal Folder (.PST) password. Just follow the instructions of the zipped text file. Works only with Outlook 2000 or earlier (not XP or 2003).
RealMystPatch.zip(890K): This zip file contains a patch I made for the shipped PC version of Real Myst. The install program doesn't work so I made this patch out of the game's demo so that I could play. An official patch came out shortly after I made this but it will work if you are having problems.
LizDM1.zip(363K) was my first Quake 1 level and a learning experience. If you are still playing Quake 1, you can check it out. It is deathmatch only with 5 player starts and has 5 secrets. The level is pretty fun, but a bit big for only two people.
LizDM3.zip(227K) is the last Quake 1 level I made, and what I consider to be the best. It's also deathmatch only and works best with 2-4 people (4 deathmatch starts). There are no secrets either, in true deathmatch style. I can play this one for hours without getting tired of it, and made ninety percent of the textures. It ranks up there with the best of the best in my opinion. More importantly, my coworkers who played it with me agreed. Check it out!
